Jennifer is the founder and director of Awaken Yoga. She is also the founder of Inner Wisdom®, a form of psychological yoga therapy that grew from helping her clients through a variety of different yogic techniques. In 2013 Jennifer began a certification program to train people in Inner Wisdom® and is still astounded at the amazing things this practice of yoga and healing arts does for her clients and the people around her.
After the birth of her second child, she has also felt a profound connection to Prenatal and Postnatal care for women, and continues to help women learn how to work with their bodies before, during and after pregnancy. Jennifer runs a blog where she shares yoga lifestyle tips, creating a sense of ease about establishing and maintaining life changes that are healthier and more holistic.

I had a spinal fusion to correct scoliosis when I was 14. I started taking yoga as a way to strengthen my core. I was hooked after my first class and realized not only the physical benefits, but the emotional benefits as well. I fell in love with yoga. The more classes I took, the more classes I wanted to take. I love linking my breath with my movements and checking in with my body. I fell in love with yoga. Through taking classes, I developed a deep passion for yoga. I realized how healthy I felt in mind & body and knew I wanted to share this passion with others. Yoga has improved my life in so many ways! I breathe deeper. I sleep better. I have learned to listen to my body. I have developed self acceptance. I have gotten physically stronger. The improvements are endless!

As a runner and cyclist, I was looking for a way to heal the stress and strain that my activity put on my body. This is what led me to yoga. As I deepened my yoga practice, I began to realize how yoga changed the way that I experience life. It has helped me calm my mind and approach life’s challenges with more peace. Through teaching, I hope to educate and inspire my students to learn something new about their minds, bodies and souls. My yoga practice has introduced me to an incredible community of people. Through these relationships, I have been challenged to approach life differently. Yoga has inspired me to live a holistically healthy life.

Anne is in her fourth career with yoga. She started out playing the cello, then worked as a newspaper reporter and finally settled on social work, doing outreach and community-based work for 20 years. Then the yoga bug bit and she found what she’d been looking for all along – a system and philosophy to help people be happy! Anne’s alignment work is based on her studies with Ginny Nadler, Judith Lasater and Doug Keller. She teaches Restorative Yoga and is certified at the advanced level with Judith Lasater. She also teaches chair yoga and studies this style of yoga with Peggy Cappy. She teaches meditation and has studied with David Nichtern and she is a Reiki Master and does Reiki training with Rowan Silverberg. Anne has a BA from Brown University and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh.

Connie is an Ethical Massage Practitioner, offering European massage, Thai massage, Reiki, and aromatherapy services and products with doTerra oils. Not only does she provide wonderful services, but she also creates unique gemstone jewelry that can be found in the boutique at Branches of Wellness.
Connie began her fitness career in 1977 when she was first certified as a Fitness Instructor, and shortly after as a Personal Trainer. She spent two years working with overweight and physically limited people at University Hospital, as well as working with the Substance Addiction Unit of Laurelwood Hospital. After opening an exercise facility of her own, Connie continued working with the overweight and physically limited under the guidance of a Licensed Dietitian.
As her focus gradually shifted from fitness to healing arts, Connie decided to pursue her interest in massage and energy work. She graduated from the Cleveland School of Massage and Advanced Bodywork in 2006. There she studied Swedish Massage, Polarity, and Reflexology, and accrued 100 hours of hands-on massage experience. Connie received her certification as an Usui Reiki Master in 2006 as well. In 2012, Connie received her Tao Mountain Basic Thai Massage training through Sarah Cheiky at The Studio Cleveland.

Lindsay began her journey into the healing arts in January 2013. After 11 plus years working in the medical field, she came to the realization that she wanted to help people heal themselves with a natural and holistic approach. She had always been intrigued by holistic and energy work. In March 2013 she enrolled in Inner Wisdom® and Reiki training at Awaken Yoga School. Inner Wisdom® and Reiki have tremendously changed her life. Inner Wisdom® has given her confidence and the ability to find inner peace within herself. The energy she feels from Reiki amazes her every day and has helped her significantly decrease her anxiety. She is grateful for this new knowledge and energy and looking forward to helping others begin to heal and gain a sense of peace and harmony within themselves.
Lindsay completed her training and certification at Awaken Yoga School in Inner Wisdom® with Jennifer Langsdale in December 2013 and received her certification in Usui Advanced Reiki with Tina DiCillo in October 2013. She has also received her Reiki Master certification in March 2014 from Minh Chau Craig Reiki Master.
Yoga also helped her find healing. She was suffering from anxiety, low self–esteem and depression, and felt sick all the time with daily pains and tension in her body. Yoga has improved her overall well-being and has given her the tools to let go of old emotional wounds and anger. Yoga helped her feel stronger, take her power back and find healing in her heart.
